Electroputere VFU - Reloc Craiova unveiled TerraNova dual diesel-hydraulic locomotive with two diesel engines and two hydraulic transmissions. It outputs 1260 hp and 230 kN tractive effort, alongside the option for changing the bogie from 1000 to 1600 mm gauge range. Brand new locomotive, the first diesel-hydraulic built in Romania after 24 years.
Ya ya ya, new....ya ya ya ! The LDE125 trucks indicate it's just a lousy reconstruction of an OLDER locomotive where they kept the chassis (underframe) and bogies. Bogies were later replaced with newly projected ones. So i won't call it NEW if even 5% of it is old.
