Ab 608 departs Otaki on first public solo excursion train outing to Feilding since restoration. Built in 1915, this locomotive was later dedicated as a war memorial honoring over 400 railwaymen who did not return from World War I. Owned by New Zealand Railway & Locomotive Society, which raised over $500,000, mostly by donations, for the restoration of this locomotive.
