Steam Inc excursion to Masterton passes Pahiatua Railcar depot.



Built in 1915, 608 was dedicated in 1925 as a war memorial honoring over 400 railwaymen who did not return from World War I. Owned by New Zealand Railway & Locomotive Society, it is based at Steam Inc depot at Paekakariki. The annual Eketahuna Express is passing the Pahiatua Railcar Society depot where Standard Railcar RM 31 poses for the photographers after a test run to Mauriceville earlier in the day.
