One of the most interesting alpine connections is surely the Fréjus pass. Between Torino Orbassano and Aiton there is a special RoLa service with ModaLohr cars also used between LeBoulou near Perpignan and Bettembourg. This trains are tractioned by the triple voltage locomotives BB36300 called "Astride" built by GEC-Alstom between 1996 and 2001. On the Background the Rocciamelone mountain with his 3538m above sea level, one of the highest of the Graie Alps.
Here we got 36350 and 36348 with a ModaLohr service to Aiton, climbing the ramps of the Frejus railway near Chiomonte.
