For three years I searched this place for the rail tracks and finally I met success. I used to pass by this place as this area is famous for bird spotting. Rail tracks go in parallel along this with the highway I travel but after few kilometers,it disappears. On this day, while my friend and myself were going along the highway, suddenly we saw a train passing by around 3 kms from the highway. I cannot describe my happiness in finding the rail tracks. Timing was perfect. Sengottai - Tirunelveli passenger train was about to pass this area. So we walked almost 3 kms through this field with heavy wind blowing against us and reached this spot to capture PONMALAI WDP-3A with Sengottai - Tirunelveli passenger passing through Azhwarkurichi !!!
