As a tribute to the Father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his 150th birth anniversary, KALYAN shed changed the colors of two WDM-3D locomotives with national tri-color and portrait of Mahatma Gandhi with support for Clean India with slogan " Swachhata Hi Seva " which mean cleanliness is a service . I have been chasing these locos for the past 3 weeks from the day it came to my state 3 weeks back. Luck favored me this time as it was coming to Kerala with DURONTO Express and I was doing a trainspotting session at Shornaur where this train comes in perfect light. Got a call from my trainspotter friend Sumanth that this pair has passed his area in the morning. So it was a wait with excitement and tension too if some clouds will spoil the show. But everything was perfect when this pair rolled into the bridge. And thus I spotted this celebration locos !!!
