If you have any ideas for a feature or an improvement, feel free to leave them in the comments. We can only grow with your participation.
Will be possibile to add the possibility to organize photos inside authors' galleries into subfolders with a customized order, like, for example, Flickr?
We are thinking about it. But now we are working core features implementation.
Ok. By the way, thank you very much for all your work with Trainspo!
Can you make a webpage to show all of the class family ?
Can you tell more about this idea?
Okay in this Trainspo we have a class family such as Dash 8 Family, Dash 9 Family, EuroSprinter Family, etc. Can we see all of Class Family like in database page? So there are two database, the first database is for classes and the second database is for that family.
Will think how to make this feature.
Any moderated website has a feature for the owner of the picture to know why the picture is rejected . Earlier this feature was religiously implemented. I wish that feature to be used by the moderators. It gives the owner a chance for improvement too.
Regards
Jay
Picture can't be rejected without any reason, it is technically impossible.
http://trainspo.com/photo/11075/#photo ... this picture of mine seems to be rejected ... there will always be a reason for rejection . So if the owner of the picture is aware of why his picture is rejected , it is helpful for the owner . That is what I meant by the earlier suggestion.
Regards
Jay
It's not a feature of the site engine. Any rejected picture must have a reason, right. So maybe you need to wait for the reason.
"Photos will be available in your gallery immediately after the upload, but you will receive new slots after the moderators approve your photos, or other members will rate your images positively. If you do not receive new slots for a long time, maybe it makes sense to remove the unsuccessful photos and upload new ones."
Is it possible to make the maps click-able and expandable?
So that you can see the location 'darts' better.
As you know, Trainspo is under development for now and we are just working on implementing of core features, and it's still time to talk about every new or wanted feature to make Trainspo better
About the maps, i think it's cool that picture view page is lightweight for browser generation with static map image
vs dynamic javascript code - it's more comfortable to browse images. But if you need more closer view to map, you can click on the map and open google maps detail view, or click on the location name to get this within Trainspo.
If you are talking about the map in the member profile view, or vehicle map - it will be dynamic map soon, as well as location dynamic map, for example
http://trainspo.com/geo/7838693/
I meant the last one yes. Nice to here that it will be implemented soon.
Here's another one which will make classifying loco's hopefully a bit easier.
Is it possible to create a drop down list of all existing (which are already reported) vehicle classes within a operator class as soon as the operator field is defined.(perhaps via double clicking or mouse over for example)
Hopefully this will save some guessing time and avoiding entering mistakes for loco's of an certain operator. I know searching in the database is a manual solution to check this, but automating things when possible is always a big plus.
Regards Peter
Nice feature!
Just finished it, try it with "*" in the class field. Will add a synopsis after a few days of testing
Will do in the near feature.
I think its better if each class has power output in Horsepower (HP) unit.
we're going to add a switches: hp or kW, km/h or mph, etc..
oh okay thank you very much.
Hi, can I post picture of city's tram?
Thnank you.
Loris
Now we have category for tram-trains:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tram-train We have such item from France, for example:
http://trainspo.com/class/1370/ But we are planning to make a category for city trams too in the nearest future. Announce about it will be displayed on the main page.
This isn't exactly a new feature request, but I think it will help beginners of the website to identify a certain locomotive. www.rrpicturearchives.net is where I go to when I need some help regarding unit information. Every American Railroad and some railroads in other countries can be found at this website. But you have to know the reporting marks your interested in, otherwise, it will take forever to find what your looking for.
Added for the member profile.
Hai, I have an idea.
How about to make Photo of the Month award and Photo of the Year Award ? And how about to make a page to display all photos which include in Photo of the week award ?
Thanks before
Thanks you for the idea, that would be very interesting! Need some time to think about how to make it better
Hey! I saw in the about Trainspo description that you are looking to complete a team of moderators, it says to contact us, but there's not any way to do that, I guess what I'm asking is, am I worthy enough to be a moderator? Or may I be one?
heya) Just mail to team@trainspo.com
More email notification options like disabling 'Trainspo | The same vehicle captured' messages etc.
It's easy to implement. Just tell full list of options
I think the following ones will be received the most via mail, other messages are more rare:
Photo acceptance notifications
Liked 5 times
The same vehicle captured
I don't know or there are any other auto generated messages which are send regularly via mail.
will be added in a few days.
How about a compare-loco feature using which you can compare the specs of 2 or more different engines in a tabular format?
Can we also have an option of viewing the EXIF information(if available) for a photograph so that we know which camera and lens was used to take it?
Hi, i have an idea for you.
How about to make a watermark for every each photo accepted into trainspo ? It use to prevent photo piracy.
We should add this feature in the nearest future.
Can you add the logo of RATP Iasi?
This is the logo:
http://trolleybus.tramclub.org/Poze/3590.jpg
We haven't ability to add logos to the operator company. Need to decide how to make it in one standart first.
