Luca, do you know why Trenitalia has bought only one BB 36300?

Trenitalia has not bought BB36000, there are 4 of them that are used by Trenitalia for the Modalohr trains, they are the BB436347, 348, 349 and 350. They are the only ones without the "E436 3xx MF" on the locomotive.

And why is one "Astride" sandwiched between Modalohr cars and Corail Vtu ?

The corail coach is sandwiched between the locomotives to make easier the rotation in Aiton and Orbassano railway yards: decoupling of corail and locomotives is not required and the maneuvers are easier and faster.
