Steam Incorporated excursion to Woodville approaches Featherston not long after exiting Rimutaka Tunnel (longest in Southern Hemisphere when opened in 1955.) The ranges were originally overcome by an incline using Fell center rail. Locomotives on this route have special fire suppression fitted which now includes DA 1431 (EMD G12 built by Clyde in 1957.)
There was a nice one posted by Brian Pearce on one of the groups of a Wairarapa train with extra cars because of the Martinborough Festival near the Maoribank tunnel heading south. It's a spot I haven't seen many photos taken from.
