18 years before, after finishing my post - graduation studies, I went to Chennai city for my first job in Thiruvananthapuram Mail Express, which was a legendary train connecting Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram cities. Those days it was a normal Mail/ Express category train which was later upgraded to Superfast category train with conventional ICF coaches. Two years back Railway Board decided to convert the coaches of this train to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches. And finally on January 18th , 2017 , Thiruvananthapuram Mail Superfast Express started from Chennai Central with brand new Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches. It was a moment of great joy and excitement when I clicked the train I travelled for 18 years with brand new LHB coaches. Next month I will be returning back to Chennai in this train. Waiting with excitement to travel in these new coaches .
