The lighter-colored areas behind the cab and below the radiator section indicate that this loco has had its Siemens inverter replaced with Mitsubishi components, since Siemens is no longer producing inverters. Newer versions of the SD70 series such as the SD70ACe already have Mitsubishi inverters. It is good to see these older veterans being updated for further use!
