The BNSF dragging equipment detector about four miles back announced to all within its radio transmitter range that "You have a defect..." Which meant the train had to stop for the conductor to walk back to the 256th axle to see what might be the problem. As it turned out, a covered hopper with chained caps on the unloading ports underneath had at least one cap that was dangling by the chain and which engaged the detector. A quick fix was made and the train proceeded on to KC.
